Your accounts. Your content. Your money.
Plenty of agencies in this industry register a creator’s Chinese channels under their own company — and keep them if the relationship ends. We do the opposite, in writing. This page is the plain-language version of the terms every SecondFans creator signs.
The short version
Accounts registered in your name
Every account we open for you on a Chinese platform is verified against your own identity documents and registered to you — never to SecondFans, never to a staff member, never to a shell account.
Our access is a revocable authorization
We operate your accounts under a written authorization defined in the agreement. You can revoke it at any time; the accounts, the audience and the content stay with you.
Every income line is traceable
Your dashboard and monthly statement itemize income line by line — platform, source, reference — backed by platform records you can ask us to show you at any time.
Paid monthly, in USD, on a fixed date
Settlement is monthly in US dollars. The payout date, the calculation and the late-payment terms are fixed in the written agreement before work starts — not decided month by month.
What the authorization covers — and what it doesn’t
Operating access is scoped. Here is the boundary, the same one written into the agreement.
We can
- Publish and schedule your localized videos
- Reply to comments and messages in Chinese, as your team
- Manage listings, covers, titles and playlists
- Enroll accounts in platform revenue programs
- Prepare brand-deal proposals for your approval
We cannot
- Transfer, sell or re-register your accounts
- Change the account owner or the identity behind it
- Sign a brand deal without your approval
- License your content beyond the agreed China distribution scope
- Keep operating after you revoke the authorization
How the money moves
Income is earned on-platform
Revenue programs, tips, commerce and approved brand deals generate income in RMB inside your Chinese accounts and the official brand marketplaces.
It is collected under contract
Because withdrawals from Chinese platforms are built around local entities and bank accounts, income is collected through our operating structure under the agreement — every amount recorded against its platform source.
You see the full statement
Monthly, an English statement itemizes each income line, the revenue share, and the resulting balance — reconcilable against platform records.
You are paid in USD
Your share is settled to your account in US dollars on the agreed monthly date. Only revenue created in China is shared — your income anywhere else is never part of the calculation.
Done properly, or not at all: the cross-border payout route and its tax treatment are reviewed by licensed legal and tax professionals before the first creator contract is signed. We don’t route creator money through personal accounts or informal channels — if a payout path isn’t compliant, we don’t use it.
The agreement, in plain language
Who you sign with
Our Hong Kong company is the contracting and settlement entity; day-to-day platform operations are carried out by our mainland China team. Governing law and dispute resolution are stated in the agreement.
Your IP stays yours
Your videos remain your property. The license you grant is limited to distributing your catalog on Chinese platforms, for the term of the agreement, as specified in writing.
Leaving is defined up front
Exit terms — notice, revocation of access, treatment of already-published content and settlement of pending income — are spelled out before you sign, so leaving never requires a negotiation.
